CMARBC (Central Association) Regional meeting, April 9, 2019.
The Central Regional Association of Regular Baptist Churches will hold their quarterly meeting on Tuesday, April 9, 9:30 a.m. refreshments, 10:00 a.m. – noon at First Park Baptist Church in St. Louis, MI. Topic: “The State of Missions.” We believe that the local church is God’s plan for taking the Gospel into all the world. We want to honestly assess the current state of relationships between the local church and the mission field and discover ways to enhance and strengthen opportunities for the Gospel. What are the current trends in missions? How does the missionary and missions agency view the local church?
“Michigan Expositors Summit” / SMARBC (Southern) Regional meeting, April 11, 2019.
The Michigan Expositors Summit is an annual gathering of pastors, ministry leaders, and seminary students who come together to fellowship, network, and gain new tools to become better expositors of God’s Word. The Summit is sponsored jointly by Grace Baptist Church (Marshall, MI) and the Southern Michigan Association of Regular Baptist Churches (SMARBC).
The program is a free, annual, half-day seminar. Three workshops lead by a seasoned expositor, plus a Q&A time, make up the event. Those who can stay afterwards also receive a free lunch. The full cost of this event is carried by Grace Baptist Church and the SMARBC.

This year’s speaker is MARBC pastor James Wells. Jim serves as the Senior Pastor of Highland Hills Baptist Church. Before coming to Highland, he was Senior Pastor of Island Pond Baptist Church in Hampstead, NH. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Dallas Theological Seminary, he has served as a minister of youth and education, in church planting, and the pastorate for more than thirty years. He has also served as an adjunct instructor at the college and seminary levels.
Pastor Wells has been a member of several boards and associations, bringing God’s Word to various Bible conferences, retreats, civic organizations, and sports teams. He has ministered in several capacities in support of world-wide missions. He was instrumental in establishing the New England Center for Expository Preaching. To see the Bible taught, people saved, and Christ’s Church built, are his great ministry passions.

WMARBC (Western) Regional Quarterly Meeting, April 25, 2019
Ken Floyd, MARBC Ministry Director, will lead a forum re: “Core Values in Action: Making the Most of the WMARBC Fellowship.” The meeting will be held at First Baptist Church in Fremont, MI, and will begin with lunch at noon. WMARBC officers will also be elected during the meeting.
