MARBC Conference format adjusted due to COVID
Like your church ministry, recent COVID developments have impacted the MARBC’s schedule this year. The MARBC and Lake Ann have made the difficult decision to delay holding the annual conference gathering at the camp until October 2021. This decision was made due to the ongoing uncertainties regarding the COVID restrictions upon gatherings. We encourage you to prayerfully remember the ministry of Lake Ann Camp and their sister camps as they seek God’s direction in navigating this challenging season.
After much discussion, the MARBC Council of 16 conference committee has developed a creative alternate plan for this year’s conference.
This year’s conference will be conducted in a regional format. The conference will be a one-day format. This plan eliminates the need for overnight lodging and less miles to travel in order to attend. The conference will be held in three different locations and dates:
- Upper Peninsula regional gathering: Tuesday, October 13, Calvary Baptist Church, Negaunee
- Eastern regional gathering: Monday, October 19, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Flint
- Western regional gathering: Tuesday, October 20, West Cannon Baptist Church, Belmont
Each one-day conference will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and have a similar schedule with three preaching sessions along with breakout and business sessions. A simple box lunch will be included at each gathering.
More information and registration opportunities will be shared in upcoming MARBC Messenger e-newsletters and posted on the MARBC website. We look forward to God’s blessing and encouragement as we plan these gatherings.
