2017 CPR Projects are now being Coordinated. Will you help?

The MARBC office has been contacted by churches interested in assisting a church in need of CPR assistance. The assistance offered includes both ministry and building related projects. Please contact the MARBC office soon so that projects can be coordinated with these willing churches.

Contact the MARBC Office for CPR assistance and/or information

We thank God for projects already arranged for this year that involve DVBS, outreach, and building projects.

Two Special CPR Projects for your consideration

Pastor Phil Devaney, Britton Bethel Baptist Church in Britton, shares that due to a storm earlier this spring the church needs to re-roof our parsonage and perhaps the car-port at the church as well. The church already has the materials, but needs laborers to do the roof project. The project is scheduled for June 1-3.

Pastor Devaney shares, “Sadly, our knees ache from hours of kneeling and prayer, and our backs hurt from carrying many burdens over the years (in other words, we are old). If you could assist us, we would love to hear from you.”

Contact Pastor Phil Devaney at: (517) 451-5415.

Email Pastor Phil Devaney for more details

Pastor Scott Kroeger, Colon Baptist Church in Colon, shares that the church is preparing for a roofing project this spring. Would you and your church be willing to assist this sister church with funding, materials, and/or labor for this important project? Often several churches partner together to help meet such a need, which is the purpose of the CPR Ministry.

Email Pastor Scott Kroeger for more details

Be sure to inform the MARBC office if you have a special need that can be assisted by a CPR partnership, or if you would like to participate in a CPR project.

MARBC 7th ANNUAL DAY OF “ONE ACCORD” PRAYER
September 29, 2013

“They raised their voice to God in one accord” Acts 4:24

A day for MARBC churches to devote their attention to prayer for our churches, pastors, state fellowship, camps, ministries, missionaries, and special needs.

7th Annual MARBC Day of “One Accord” Prayer. Sunday, September 29. You are encouraged to join sister churches in our state for a day focusing upon united prayer for one another and our partnering ministries.

We suggest that your church designate time during the morning and/or evening services to pray for the churches, pastors, camps, missionaries, and ministries of the MARBC. Pray also for sister churches in your area. This would also be a good time for deacons and/or other church members to pray on behalf of their pastors in anticipation of Pastor’s Appreciation Month in October.

WITH THE LORD

Meryl Welch.  Mrs. Meryl E. Welch, age 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. As a young teenage musician, Meryl served her Lord in playing for many youth rallies. She was a marimba musician and was invited to serve in many weekly revival meetings in cities and churches of West Michigan. In 1942 she married Wilbert Welch, pastor of the North Casnovia Baptist Church, Bailey, MI. Both sensed the need for additional education, enrolling at Bob Jones University in 1943. While attending the university, they were called to serve at Calvary Baptist Church of Rome, GA where not only her husband served as the pastor, but Meryl became very involved in daily radio music broadcast ministry for seven days a week. During these years, five children were added to the Welch family. Following a five-year ministry in Rome, GA, there were ten fruitful years at Calvary Baptist of Muskegon. In 1959 Wilbert accepted a call to be president of the Grand Rapids Bible Institute. Meryl became deeply involved in the growth of the Institute to the current Cornerstone University. In reviewing these years of ministry with her husband, Meryl often stated that they both praise the Lord for the fruitful years He so graciously granted them. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Dr. W. Wilbert Welch, Ph.D.; children, Robert A. and Nancy Kay Welch, W. Curtis and Sandra Welch, and Dale T. and Marcia Welch, and Arlene and Joel Betts; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Music Department at Cornerstone University, 1001 East Beltline Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI.
